San Francisco Political Calendar - August 25th

I received a feed today from missionmission.wordpress.com regarding a District 9 Supervisor Debate on October 7th.

What is unusual about this debate is how it is being conducted. The website is http://www.d9debate.com

You can go in and ask the questions you would like answered from the candidates.

The debate will be October 7, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at Victoria Theatre, 2961 Sixteenth Street @ Capp, San Francisco.

Moderator: Anita Correa, President, Mission Merchants

Participants:
David Campos, Eric Quezada, Eric Storey, Eva Royale, Mark Sanchez, Thomas Valtin, Vern Matthew. What is great is that each candidate's website is linked on the website so you can look at all the websites in one place.

Sponsors: Mission Dispatch, Mission Housing Development Corporation, Mission Merchant's Association, National Latino Peace Officer's Association, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, San Francisco Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and San Jose/Guerrero Coalition to Save our Streets. There are links on the website for each one of these sponsors.

This such an important process. Maybe it can happen in other Districts (District One, Three and Eleven)?????.

Information:

Joe Biden
- finished his book"Promises to Keep". This is a very enjoyable read - very personal - talking about the death of his wife and daughter, just when he was to become a Senator at 30 years old - how he really didn't want to be a Senator - but his fellow colleagues helped him through .There are funny moments in the book - he has worked with the "icons" of the Senate - he really wanted to run for president.
