What: Trans March Salsa Sunday.  Sun, fun, margaritas, good people and all for a great cause.  The  mission of the San Francisco Trans March is to inspire all trans and gender non-conforming people to realize a world where we are safe, loved and empowered.  Strive to create a space for our diverse communities  to  unite and achieve the social justice and equality that each of us deserves.
El Rio will donate all door proceeds from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. to the San Francisco Trans March.

The Irish Literary and  Historical Society Saint Patrick's Banquet

What: The Irish Literary and Historical Society Saint Patrick's Banquet.   
Guest Speaker: Paul Whitworth - actor and UC Santa Cruz Professor of Theatre Arts - will deliver a dramatic presentation from the annals of Irish literature.
Entertainment: Pamela  Alexander, Celtic harpist and lyric soprano will perform during the cocktail hour.
After-dinner entertainment will be offered by Esther Mulligan and John Ilyin with harpist Diana Rowen.
Ticket $55 includes dinner with wine.  Reservation deadline March lst No tickets will be sold at the door.

Benefit for Treasure Island Fire Survivors

9:00 p.m. - First band 9:00ish
Where: El Rio, 3158 Mission Street, San Francisco
What: Join local local legends Apogee Sound Club and the Rabbles in a benefit for the survivors of the recent fire on Treasure Island.  This fire displaced 6 families and took the life of a ten-year-old girl.  100% of the money raised at this   event will go to help the families replace  destroyed  clothes, furniture and other essential belongings

What: Local organizing committees of union and transgender community members will ask unions, labor councils and state federations to pledge to bargain for trans-inclusive health benefits and to sign a Trans Health Benefits Bargaining pledge form.
Pride at Work, NCTE, TLC, and SEIU Lavender Caucus will be partnering with local organizations including Harvey Milk LGBT Democratic Club, the Trans March, TGSF, and SEIU 1021 Lavender Caucus.  
Speakers will include Cecilia Chung, Luis Gutierrez-Mock, Gabriel Haaland, Lauree Hayden, Jamie Rafael Wolfe, Tracy Garza.
