Carnaval!

I admit it. I got up too late to go to the Carnaval Parade (it started at 9:30 a.m.). But I did go down to Harrison and 16th Street to the Carnaval Street Fair. What a huge fair!

Lots of music, food, and booths and exhibits. They had a "Zona Verde" area which was a eco-green village. That is where I saw the "holistic hooping" - hoola hoops for exercise!

I ended up walking around to 24th Street up Mission Street and walking behind the end of the Parade. This is a fun event for everyone. It was nice to see the sun come out.

District 9 Candidate David Campos for Supervisor was there along with District 9 Supervisor Candidate Eric Quezada's Campaign which had a neighborhood headquarters on Harrison Street.
