Harvey Milk would have loved the re-opening of the Harvey Milk Center for Recreational Arts held Saturday at Duboce Park.
Beautiful blue sky. Gorgeous three story building which includes photography center, music, costume and props room, practice room and basketball court.
Harvey's friends Frank Robinson ( his speech writer), Dan Nicoletta (photographer) and Allan Baird (retired President of Teamster Local 921) all talked about Harvey Milk being a neighborhood person who loved his District.
Supervisor Bevan Dufty, Friends of Duboce Park and the Rec and Park Department all should be thanked for this wonderful facility in honor of Harvey Milk.
