Harvey Milk Candlelight Memorial March - 2010

On Saturday, November 27th - Harvey Milk LGBT  Democratic Club held a Candlelight March for Harvey Milk and George Moscone on the anniversary of their assassinations.

Speakers at the beginning of the march at Harvey Milk Plaza included State Senator Mark Leno, State Senator Leland Yee, City Attorney Dennis Herrera,  Supervisor David Campos, City Treasurer Jose Cisneros,  Cleve Jones, Carole Migden, John Bardis,  Carol Ruth Silver

San Francisco Main Library - Screening of "Remembering Playland"

What:  Free screening of Tom Wyrsch's "Remembering Playland at the Beach", a full-length documentary about the legendary amusement park  in Ocean Beach that was torn down in 1972.

HANC - Emergency Meeting - stop the eviction of the HANC Recycling Center and Native Plant Nursery

What: SF Rec and Park Department proposes to evict the recycling center operated by the Haight Ashbury Neighborhood Council for the last 36 years from its location on the southwest corner of the Kezar Triangle in Golden Gate Park.  Hearing is set for December 2, 2010 at the Rec  and  Park Commission meeting.
This forum is being held to hold a full public debate and discuss information before the December 2nd meeting.  Representatives from both sides including Rec  and  Park Dept. have been invited to speak.
