Approximately one hour later, the second report will be released, which will include votes cast at the polling places. Subsequent reports will be released every half hour until approximately midnight.

Alongside these results updates, the Department will release preliminary ranked-choice voting (RC) results on the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday after the election. The results will include a ballot image file for each contest, which will contain date on first-, second-, and third-choice votes. Further preliminary RCV updates may be released each day more ballots are counted, depending on public interest. These preliminary RCV results will be posted on the sfelections.org and available in printed format at the Department's office.
The Department will continue to release updated unofficial results until all ballots have been counted and the results are certified.
Final Results: The Department will certify the final results no later than December 6, which is the end of the 28-day post-election canvass period specified by the California Election Code. The Department will announce the final election results by issuing a press release, and by posting a notice on its website and at its main office in Room 48 at City Hall.

Remembering the ARC/AIDS Vigil: Day of Action on HIV and Homelessness
When: November 11, 2011 - Friday
10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Occupy San Francisco
What: On October 27, 1985 , two HIV+ gay men chained themselves to the doors of the old federal building at UN Plaza to protest government inaction on HIV/AIDS. Soon they were joined by others, and maintained presence 24/7 for the next several years.
They slept in tents and staffed an education table, constantly pressuring the government to put funding and resources into services for people living with HIV/AIDS. This was the spark for an AIDS activism that used direct action tactics to accomplish its goals.
Sound familiar? The Occupy movement draws many parallels to those used in t he ARC/AIDS Vigil.
Today, people living with HIV/AIDS still face many struggles - on of the most overwhelming of which being homelessness. There are up to 2,500 homeless people with HIV/AIDS in San Francisco. 50% of those became homeless due to real estate speculator eviction - either through the Ellis Act or Owner Move In.
We will speak out, demanding that the new mayor of San Francisco commit to ENDING homelessness for HIV+ people, queer youth and trans folks within 4 years.
We wil also be offering a housing advice clinic, needle exchange, free HIV testing, and organic vegetarian lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Please show up wearing red.
Organized by: AIDS Housing Alliance SF, Homonomixxx, and St James Infimary.
