On a gorgeous Saturday morning Assembly District 13th Delegate elections were held at the LGBT Center on Market Street.
The delegates elected at this meeting go to the California Democratic Party Convention being held in April in Sacramento. 44 candidates ran for 12 delegate seats along with one Executive board representative. There are two reasons why this is so important:
- John Burton, former Congressman and President pro Tem of the Senate is running and will win the position of State Chair of the California Democratic Party.
- John Burton will be a strong voice for the people, especially against Governor Schwarzanegger and will organize to take back the governorship in 2010.
