A speaker from Sierra Club will describe what it will take to get SF officials to move us closer to a cleaner, cheaper energy future envisioned in the state law passed back in 2002. Under CCA, the City and County of San Francisco would become an electricity purchaser for residents and businesses currently served by PG&E (PG&E would still provide electricity transmission, meter reading, billing etc.). Customers who wish not to participate in the City's CCA program will have an opportunity to opt-out and remain a full customer of PG&E.
A speaker from the Rebuild Potrero Project will discuss plans which have been proceeding with input from community focus groups.
