A Celebration of Life - John Behanna

Attended a celebration of Life - John Behanna - 1933 to 2009 on his birthday - April 11th.

Held at the UCSF Facility Alumni House with food, drink, music and all his friends. There were many people from all parts of his life.   Remarks were made by many people, including Sheriff Hennessey, Agar Jaicks, Patty Moran, Jane Morrison, Finnbarr Brady, Ben Tom, Jeannie Maher, his Democratic League friends, his artists friends,  Eileen Kivlehan, with proclamations from Assemblymember Yeland Yee, Assemblymember Fiona Ma and State Senator Mark Leno. Tshirts with John's pictures were given out to everyone.

I have posted some of the campaign  signs  he saved, including a sign showing he ran for the Charter Commission (a long time ago) - I didn't know that!

Everyone misses John - he was a good friend. A part of San Francisco's history has passed.  It's sad.
