Cesar E. Chavez Holiday Parade Festival 2009

Attended Saturday Cesar E. Chavez Holiday Parade & Festival starting at Dolores Park-19th Street - walking down Mission Street to 24th Street to Harrison/Bryant Street.

A beautiful, gorgeous day. This is the ninth annual celebration in honor of the life and work of Cesar Chavez. There were booths (on the sunny side of the street) dancing and music. Lots of smiles.

In attendance was Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, Supervisor Davis Campos and City Treasurer Jose Cisneros and Eva Royale.

You must try and go down to 24th Street and look at the neighborhood , shops, restaurants and coffee shops. The food smelled so good - there was the wonderful aroma of strong coffee. A very distinct neighborhood.
