On Thursday, August 4th I attended San Francisco Mayoral Debate held at the Marines Memorial Theater  co-hosted by San Francisco Police Officer's Association and the Firefighters Local 798.

Debate opened with Gary Delagnes, President of the San Francisco Police Officer's Association giving opening remarks and the moderator, Phil Matier - a columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle -  asked the first question "What do you think of Ed Lee changing his mine about running for mayor" Entertaining and interesting response from the candidates in attendance: Phil Ting, Joanna Rees, Dennis Herrera, Bevan Dufty, Michela Alioto-Pier and David Chiu.

2011 Entertainment Industry Summit

What: Purpose of the Summit is to unveil a new online entertainment tool, share industry best practices and updates on legislation that will enhance music opportunities.
Specifically, the Entertainment Commission, along with SFPD Command staff and others in the City Family, will present "PromoterSF", San Francisco's new database for promoters doing business in the City.  There will be an opportunity to help with the City's first Economic Impact Study of the night life sector.  Plus, they will present the new Limited  Live  Performance Permit, created for cafes, restaurants and small venues to add more opportunities for musicians in San Francisco.
Come to meet, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaborations to foster vibrant and safe night life in San Francisco.  The Summit is for owners and operators, promoters, security companies, artists and anyone interested in the topic.
The Summit is hosted by the Entertainment Commission and SFPD and co-sponsored by CMAC.
