Best of Times, Worst of Times

Attended the Alice B. Toklas LGBT Democratic Club meeting last night at the LGBT Community Center to hear an update on the November election including a presentation from David Latterman.

The first item on the agenda was an update on the No on 8 Campaign being fought through the courts. The fight is being fought regarding if Yes on 8 was an amendment or a revision of the constitution . No on 8 has excellent legal advice and they have strong support on the courts.

David Latterman gave his power point presentation showing how people voted on No on 8 and a brief review of the San Francisco election -( still not done!) - but looks like there probably won't be any further changes in results - just figures.

There was discussion how to go forward on No on 8 - as Co-Chair of Alice, Susan Christian said "election night was the best of times and the worse of times". It has been agreed to move forward - no blaming anyone for the loss on No on 8 - just move forward to the next step.

I was pleased to see a Boardroom named after Dick Pabich - I think Dick would have been pleased with this honor. We could have used Dick Pabich and Jim Rivaldo's expertise on the No on 8 campaign.
